Theories of Learning and Instruction
Course Overview:
IST 520 introduces learning theory as the foundation for the design and implementation of instruction and training. Students learn to evaluate and select appropriate applied learning theories, apply behavioral, cognitive and constructivist learning theories. Students discuss how to select appropriate pedagogy according to a specific delivery model and learner and explore cultural sensitivities in teaching and learning in a highly connected world.
